The Originals City, Hotel Le Savoy, Caen

Well priced and exceptionally clean place with helpful staff. Marvellous location close to main tourist attractions in the city and 20 minutes' walk to Caen center.- Had a quadruple room with big opening windows and tea available.- Kindness of the staff was noteworthy.

The location is good and convenient, to all the major attractions. The units are airy, fine with a big bathroom.

Excellent staff who provided a really lovely stay. Got reasonably sized comfort double room with a big bathroom as expected, appreciated it. The breakfast had a wide range of selection, the food was outstanding.

The "comfort triple room" was anything but. Extremely small and cramped room, however the bed itself was very comfortable.

It was a convenient starting place for our trip to the D-Day beaches. Although it was a little difficult to navigate the city streets.

Lack of anywhere toi eat other than the hotel itself. Lack of ice in the bar. Seems we could have gotten a nicer, more modern room for the same price elsewhere in the same area.

Unhelpful receptionist and rude attitude.

The staff was very considerate - waited for us even though we were running late. Made us feel very welcome. The bathroom was fairly new.

The room was nothing like advertised. Much smaller than expected. We were thankful that we were only there for only one night.

We had a great stay at a hotel in a nice residential area. The staff at The Originals City were very friendly and helpful, especially the gentleman who helped us with a taxi and made sure it arrived on time for our early morning boat. The room was clean, comfortable, and had a bunk bed that the kids loved. The breakfast had a good variety of food and the staff were accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back.

The hotel is efficient: we were able to fit five people into a fairly small room. It is a good value, meaning that we got a little more than we paid for. The staff was friendly and helpful, and parking is free in the back of the hotel. For a bargain price, we had a clean room that accommodated our entire family.

Our room faced the front of the hotel, so if you are there in warmer weather and need to keep the window open, you will hear the sounds of passing traffic. It is not a major highway, but it is noticeable. The toilet and shower facilities are in-room, which is great, but understand that they are in smaller rooms, making them a bit of a challenge for taller people to use. These are more "be aware of this" items than things we didn't like or even expect at this price point. We were satisfied with the trade-offs for the room rate.

I particularly appreciated the big opening windows, which allowed for plenty of natural light and fresh air. Additionally, the breakfast offered a good variety of options to start the day on a positive note.
